I have one in my '99 coupe, though purchased it pre-owned back in 2009. I use it once in a while. Have never had any problems with it. Thinks it's pretty much considered old school nowadays, what with ipods, etc.
I was talked into buying it by a friend, when I got my 04 coupe. I use it all the time. Living in Houston there are no decent radio stations to listen to. When it needs to be replaced, I will go with an MP3 player.
I've got one but it only gets used when my wife is in the car. Personally, when I'm driving, I rather listen to my headers and talk to myself than use the radio/disk player. I don't have, don't need an MP3 player.
I purchased my 02 used and it has it installed, I like it. I use it and sometimes I'll unplug and plug in a MP3 (aux2car) adaptor. With the CD I'll learn to words to songs faster, as it seems to repeat more than the MP3. Two things I don't like about the MP3 is it does not seem to put out as much signal as the CD does and operating the MP3 unit while driving. I have an Sansa unit, small screen on this one. Maybe after finding the money I'll go to DD and a more moderen radio, but I'd rather find $$ for HPs.
I use mine all the time. Between the disc changer, ipod radio receiver dealyo, and the fm radio I'm happy with what I have, but do plan on eventually (when I can afford it) switching to DD with a unit that has a USB on the face for the ipod. Then I'll get rid of the 12 disc and insert a subwoofer in its place. and some sound deadening stuff...
Mine has one but I have never used it. Just got my C5 in Sept 09 and was thinking about taking it out. Want to put in a sub box in that spot. Also have an upgrades Kenwood head unit with a pop out screen ,nav, XM etc...
Replaced with mp3 setup ... Schoche Blue Tooth > Aux-Box. Nice wireless setup that works with old MP3 Player and Blue Tooth transmitter or directly via iPhone built in Blue Tooth.
