maybe i have missed something but i cant find a C5Z review by Top Gear anywhere. i know they have been around since the late 80s, early 90s, as they have done several C4 Vette reviews/features.
Doubtful. The C5Z kicked so much butt all over, and was one of the very few cars to run a sub 8 minute lap on Nurburgring, I don't think that the Brits would have much they could bash on it. LOL
It took them until the C6ZR1 to figure out how to make fun of it's flimsy bumper fascia.
As far as I can recall, the only fast American car they reviewed for that era was the Viper. And they had nothing good to say about the car other than "it's fun".
Top Gear is a British show aimed at a British audience, at its core. The 'vette is not really a significant car in the British market. Hence, with the limited air-time considering the number of cars being introduced and the amount of time spent on "adventures" instead of car "reviews", it's not really surprising that the boys didn't review the C5Z.
Clarkson in his DVD "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (?) did review the C6 (including the Z06). His conclusion? The Z06 is awesome on track, rubbish on the road, and the Corvette is the only good American car. Not too shabby... but you have to keep in mind that his DVDs (and Top Gear in general) is an entertainment show, not really a car review program anymore.
I would be a lot more interested in reading what EVO magazine has to say about the 'vette. They get a lot closer to an "objective" review than Top Gear, even though they don't have nearly as much reach, especially overseas. I read EVO to learn about the cars, I watch Top Gear to be entertained.

any information on this? it would be interesting.
They never did one. They've done a C6Z06 and a C6ZR1.
