Call me old fashioned,,,but that stuff is EXACTLY why I don't subscribe to any of the "social networking" stuff!! I want no more information out there about me than necessary!! The forum is as public as I get,,,and would NEVER post anything that could be used against me!! I do find it amusing that some young up and coming criminal/vandals help law enforcement catch them by posting illegal activities on line!!! Keep it up dumb azzes!!! In Illinois,,,speeding is becoming VERY expensive!!They have doubled and tripled fines the last few years!! I LOVE the fines for speeding in a construction zone!! They will post a 45mph work zone limit,,,have 5miles of occasional barrels off the side of the road with no machinery or people in sight,,but nail you for $375 for the first offense!! Is it just a coincidence that these fines came on the heals of one of the largest state deficits this side of California???Duh!! Oh well,,,keeping my speeding to a minimum,,,and damned sure not going to post it on the internet!!!

I've had high performance motorcycles for years, the Vette only for a few. As far as the bikes are concerned we go out almost every Sunday morning to a sparcely used two lane black top highway to race the bikes. They are in most cases 200 plus hp bikes and we race them from a second gear roll to top speed. The local police know us, know what we are doing and rarely hassle us. Yesterday I pulled a real boner in the Vette, I saw a local cop writing a pulled over citizen (same highway previously mentioned) and dropped a couple gears and buzzed them at about a buck forty. Don't know why or what came over me but it was what it was??? I know not the brightest thing to do

If people are stupid enough to post all those personal details on line, then they deserve what happens IMO.

I recently took a trip to texas. I noticed several construction zones along the way that were as you described. The damn barrells on the shoulder was more of a safety issue than traffic was as there was no equipment or workers in site.

Gotta love it, government making criminals out of us to support their addiction to spending other peoples money. I would hate to be an LEO in this time and have to decide between the people and government, because we all know what these laws are designed to do. Well anyone with a brain that is.

Those construction zones are the worst especially when they go on for 10+ miles and there are just small sections of actual construction. Plus its really hard to keep the speed down to 45 on the interstate.
But if Im going to speed its usually late at night when no one else is on the road and its not to far over the limit anyways, not like most cops care too much when you are going 10 over on a back road at midnight.

LOL! Doesn't matter to me. Telling the truth about everything I've done proves I'm a good driver.
