I have always been curious as to cross pipe (junction) location. Some are right after the collector some mid pipe and some towards the rear. Any input on how location affects performance/efficiency/sound???

I recently purchased LG street headers ceramic coated w/ hiflo cats xpipe, borla stinger cat back, and vararam intake. ill be installing it in a few weeks.

LG streets should be a good fit for you. LG headers seem to be the most popular. LG pro series headers are for people that are pushing 500+ hp.

I recommend going on youtube and searching for corvette videos with the exhaust that you are looking for so that you can listen to the exhaust.

I have been looking at the LG streets headers w/highflow cats myself how much extra is the ceramic coating and will it help with all the extra heat headers make?
I also have a orignal set of GHL magumns on my car so it is going to sound great when i get this all done.

Here are a few things I have learned the hard way over many years of Corvette modding

Don't waste money on shortys they might get you a few hp but it's not worth scraping your knuckes up over

Long tubes are the best for the c5 I have AR now and had LG on the ZO6 they are both great I would say the LGare a little better quility but the AR are a little cheaper you will be happy with them both.

Unless you have a real crazy cam heads and so on or a stroker motor more cubic inch stick with the 1-3/4 size

American Racing Headers 1 3/4 and a nice street tune by a reputable shop to match. ARH have a nice direct clean fitment with no BS

it's cause of their insanely long primaries. Even when they're not in the "sweet spot", the exhaust from one cylinder doesn't have to fight the pressure of the others. Hence more torque.

RTSVET,

It costed $350 to just get the headers coated. And it was another $300 for the rest of the system, but I didnt do that because I dont need it.

Getting the headers coated will drop the temperatures in the engine bay quite a bit. It will also extend the look and life of the headers.

Their is a bunch of different finishes that you can get. As you can tell in the pics I got silver finish.

Around 20-25 RWHP once tuned. Better sound and performance! and a lot more fun

They will enable you to take advantage of later mods such as H/C

Thanks,Matt

LG Long tubes w/cats & X pipe are the WTG if you go down that route.

However, since you already have Corsa catbacks I would leave it at that. Trust me. I spent 250 on/off just to find out how the Corsa sounds behind headers. For an alternate sound to Corsa try the Ti-mod @ WOT.
