Hi all,
I talked with a friend that has a 1999 frc with 69500 miles, for sale.
I have not seen the car, but he says the car is in very good condition.
He had the car painted last year and the tires are almost new.
He is asking $16,950. for the car. Is this a good price? I am thinking
this is on the high
end for a 12 year old car with 69500 miles.
I just received a email from the owner with with more info. The 2 rear tire pressure sensors are bad and a connector
for the lumbar support in the drivers seat needs to be replaced.

I don't think that is too high and especially since it is well maintained
Just check it out and test drive it!
Try and get some more info on it and share it with us! that'll help!
If the problem with the drivers seat is just a bad connector for the lumbar support that needs to be replaced, that should be minimal if you do it yourself and the bladder is not damaged.
69K miles is not a lot of miles on a C5 but the price is a little high for this particlar car with paintwork and some issues IMO.
IF YOU LIKE THE CAR BUY IT! YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE MY FRIEND.
The price is not to high in my opinion. Buy it and drive the crap out of it.
Living life, Dave
I don't have lumbar in my FRC; don't believe it was an option. And no that's not a bad price if it was maintained well. Like the other guys said, drive it and make your decision. 16k isn't bad and it could be a very fun ride. Hope everything checks out with it.
I backed off buying this car. I don't know anything about the
lumbar support, other than what the owner told me. He also told me
that 2 rear tire pressure senors were bad and needed replacing, also there was an issue (small) with the passenger door panel. The car
was in a hail storm, minor damage to the hood and he had the entire car painted.
I felt that this was a $15,000. car for this area, with the above
mentioned issues. Obviously the owner didn't agree.

It is a 15K or less car. IMO But I guess to him it's not. You made a good choice, there's better deals out there.
My opinion, if you want a high price for a car, don't try to sell it with known issues. Makes me wonder what's not known.
