In 1992 my wife bought a '92 Bright Aqua Metallic Convertible 6spd with White interior and a White top. That was a sharp looking color on the C4.

Where are those pics?

There is much more to the 2004 than you'll want to kknow and it is all good,

Your PCM and Fuel Pump are different too - we can explain later (It's all good too)

Thanks,Matt
the later fuel pump system is not as easy to upgrade as the early systems (the best being the 97,98 return type system)

could be wrong but I beileve that the block changes were:
97,98 thinner cylinder liners
99,00,01 thicker liners
02,-04 same liners, larger windows in block, revised PVC system

there is some debate as to weither the larger windows in the block made it weaker than the 99-01 ls1 block, the revised pvc system is a + for sure and the enlarged block windows make more power. I do not think that the alloy of the blocks were changed durring the ls1-6 days.

in 02 and later all blocks were ls6

Yep ... I sold my 95 to buy a 98 when I retired in 1998 (had to buy myself something to celebrate) and I missed the fighter pilot feel of the 95 for YEARS..

Just added a 35th (88) Anniversary Edition to my fleet a few weeks ago and once again feel like I'm wearing the car...

Seriously To this day I still feel like I made a major mistake selling the 95...the 98 is a better car but just does not feel as "sporty" as the C4's...

I went from 96 LT4 to 03. Don't miss it, but sometimes think that 20yr from now an LT4 might be one of the C4 keepers. (from someone who had a 69 camaro pace car and 69 Z28 and let them get away)

congrats on the upgrade. I went from a 95 coupe to a 99 FRC and loved it. However, I do like the way C4 gives you that cockpit feel.

Looks like lots of people upgraded recently.
Upgrade is subjective.

It will be. what are the old LT vettes going for now? But in my lifetime it doesn't matter much.

Same with the FRC, but not in my lifetime.

Welcome to the C5 world. I am sure you will love it.

I have one piece of advice: If your C5 is an M6, make sure it has a Column Lock Bypass (CLB). GM recalled all affected cars on this problem, but did not fix the issue. Do a search to find out more about it.

Ive owned 4 C4's. one being a ZR-1. The C4 is a wonderful and formidable automobile and very beautiful to look at. When I started out I was looking at C5 coupes, but soon realized that a base C5 in stock form was going to be more of a lateral move than anything else for me.

My solution was buying a Z06. I knew the difference would be very noticeable and figured why not shoot for the stars and own the epitome of the Corvette at the time.

Good luck to you and use your new ride in good health!

Gee a lotta C4 converts here...93-98 myself. I still look at the C4's a lot closer than C5's I had 2 C4's and miss them both. I like the lines of a C4 better but my C5 is pretty nice in it's own way quicker, more refined and a lot newer with less miles than my C4. I do not regret the change but will always have a special place in my heart for the C4. But then I had a 69 Fiat Spyder I loved too it was a rolling death trap........

I wouldn't. I'm 5'8" 140 lbs, and I thought the C4(older or newer interior didn't really matter much) was the most uncomfortable car I had ever sat in. I also would bang my shin getting into the darn things everytime. The c5 is leagues better.
