I'm considering just tinting the door windows of my torch red coupe. I'm getting front and rear tinted (Park and Brake) LED's done now and also the lens on the sides of the license plate tinted.
Don't want to do the rear window, so how do you guys think it would look? I know I can take it off if not pleased with it though.
Make sure you check your local vehicle codes to be sure tinting the side windows is legal. Although it's done quite often, it is illegal here in California.
Because of the antenna and the shape of the rear window I hear it's not a good idea to try and tint it either. Friend of mine says it would darken the rear (by not letting as much light in) and not make a lot of difference in it not being tinted.
Thanks, not sure at this point whether its worth it or not either. JWM is now doing my LED's for the front and rear. Like to get your thoughts on it though.

I can't vouch for the antenna issues, since I have an aftermarket unit and I never fixed the antenna issues that you get when you install an aftermarket unit. I just have Sirius satellite radio. I have my sides and rear window tinted to 20% (as dark as the back of SUV's), yes it is illegal here in Illinois to be that dark, but I figured it is a summer car and not a daily driver. I have never had any issues with my windows being to dark especially on a sunny day. It is a little dark backing up at night but nothing some super bright LED reverse lights can't fix or rolling down the windows. My personal opinion would say tint all three or not do any, especially with already getting your taillights tinted.
Edit: as far as issues tinting the rear window, someone that knows the Corvettes will and should be able to tint the rear no problem. Just ask off of here if there is a good window tinter around your area. That's what I did and found an awesome guy to do my car and he ended up doing a few more vehicles for me!

I tinted all my windows on my C4 and I am going to have my FRC tinted this spring as well.
It will darken the rear some, that's the point, to keep harmful rays out. But in daylight it won't darken it enough to be an issue. And there is an extremely high amount of heat coming in that rear window that harms all sorts of things, from drying out leather to fading carpet.
Any good window tinter can tint the back window. Mine came out excellent. The tinter used three pieces to do the tint and I never could find the seams.
It will help protect the interior of the car from harmful sun rays and keep the cabin cooler. There's an added bonus at night. It will lesson the glaring light caused from vehicles behind you where their lights are in a direct path of your low profile.
Trust me, it's the best mod you will ever do to help preserve the interior of your car. just check your local state laws.

Tinting just the back window would look fine, but it seems like it would look like you "forgot to do" the rear glass if only the sides were tinted.
My rear glass has a 20% tint on it and visibility during the day is fine-at night not quite as good, but that's what the side mirrors are for.
The rear tint REALLY keeps it cooler in the car when it's parked out in the sun.
Not sure what the "Antenna Issues" would be,mine wasn't affected at all,but my tint is ceramic, not metallic.

Our Vettes look very much alike. My sides and rear hatch is tinted and real dark at that. Its a great look. Do it.
If I did anything it would just be the back. I hate it when I can't see the driver at an intersection. You need to make eye contact or at least see each other so you know what each other is going to do. Really annoying when unable to see the driver. Ricey too!

I've got the same torch red coupe as you and had all my windows tinted and it makes the car look even better! If you have a good installer, the rear glass can be done correctly. Anyways, my two cents worth. Good luck and enjoy!!!!
