There were also two supplied hooks that you installed on the upper inner fender.

BTW, I installed mine, thought it looked dumb and not useful, took it back off.

I just got my car yesterday (used).
I see the screws on the upper inner fender but they do not have the hooks with them.
I do see two hooks on the rear trunk lid, i am guessing for a cargo shade ?

arnt the two rear hooks that are suppose to be on the upper inner fender for this net ?

does that other net also attach to the same two hooks ?

Don't think there was a shade. The hooks came in a bag and they screwed on to those bolts you see.

If I remember there is something about this in the owner's manual.

Good Luck

My car only has the longer net and the hooks were already installed. The hooks are the same as other GM cars with cargo nets. Would be easy to find in a wrecking yard. I like and use my net all the time.

Poor pictures from cel phone and its dark in there but may give you the idea.

Thanks for posting those pics for him, great job. That is exactly how it installs.

My car was also missing the shade. It just mounts with elastic loops at the corners so I made one from black vinyl. Works great and looks great. Only cost $13 for the vinyl fabric and elastic. Just need to find someone with a sewing mahine to help. If you want I will try to take pictures but I tinted my back window real dark.

My 2001 Coupe came with the net you show on the left - I have never seen the one on the right?

I have not found any other pictures of the one on the right either.
Both were in back of the car, both are made by the same company..they have the same info tags.

maybe the wider net is for a different car ?

I did take photos of my cargo shade. As good as I could with my phone.

Not original but I think it looks good and was cheap to make.

Do you have 2 hooks as it takes 4. I know Michelles Malibu seen next to th Vette in the shade photo has the same hooks. So did her 1992 Buick Skylark so they should be easy to find. My Sky has them in the trunk but I dont know why. A cargo net was not an option. I guess because when the top is down there is no room for cargo in the trunk. They are not in a useful place anyway. I think they double as wing nuts to remove the panels. I would think they would be fairly cheap from an online dealer as well.

OP - that does not look like a factory cargo net for the C5 - sure doesn't look like the one I have for mine.

When I tried to purchase a cargo net from a Supporting Vendor, he told me the coupe didn't come with one.

Mine came with my car and looks just like the one on the left. Its show on the options codes for the car and the option included a cargo shade I did not get. Thats what happens when you buy used.

Mine came new with the cargo net and shade and yes, it's a coupe. As far as your pics, I've never seen net with the 4 hooks on one side. It's not for a C5, that's for sure.

I could NEVER get my net to fit. Comes very close, but no cigar. Someone told me I have a cargo net for a convertible.............. Could that be?

Tab A goes in slot #2. Tab C goes to hook X3. Fold hook B7 over until it touches slot 99 and VOILA!...you're done.
