Snow Got You Down? (RANT)
Sometimes it is not too bad but this year, we have snow on top of snow,
that's covering the previous multiple snow-jobs.
I've been snowed-in, snowed-up, snowed-out, snowed-down -
practically snowed to death.
Of course, along with that comes the salt,
more salt than the salt girl on the cardboard salt container ever dared to dream about.
Giant massive freakin' monster trucks chucking and winging salt and
sand and rocks everywhere constantly like 24 / 7 like the drivers never sleep,
like they are robots cranked up on coke or something...
And I can explain why.
Why?
This is all my fault.
Everyone that is cursing the snow can blame me.
Why?
Because last fall I had to buy my first Vette.
A low milage black on black C5 FRC beauty.
I can't remember the last time I drove it.
I don't have a garage at my house so I keep it some miles away.
I think it is still there... I can't bring myself to go look. Ahh the memories...
Like it still has those stupid warning sticker things on the visors...
And when I floored it, kids would run for cover and the elderly would grasp their chests...
And all the times I glanced down and realized I was doing well over 100 while thinking I was jogging along at 65.
(BTW the State Police don't buy that one either)
The crazy firm z51 suspension revealing every unfortunate insect on the road-
The super tight and responsive steering -
The bloody pressure sensor in the front left that sometimes worked, sometimes didn't (sigh)
Defying logic and laughing in the face of common sense - Driving without a spare!!!
The thrill of flippin it through the gears -
Swinging that fine *** around real nasty like... and...
OH GOD THE ACCELERATION !
But I digress...
So the next time your out, shoveling and chopping away galactic amounts of frozen sludge,
Feel free to point both your middle fingers in my direction.
I do apologize.

!! This crap is EVERYWHERE,,and you aren't the only new vet owner!! We are recovering from an entertaining round that started with a layer of freezing rain,,then a couple or so inches of sleet topped of with a few inches of snow. Then a couple of days later,,we got what was supposed to be a dusting to an inch,,,that added up to another 5 inches!!! I heard the forecast of the snow storm "of historical dimensions" and got her out for a good run that prior Sunday. Winter sucks for sure!! Unless you are one of those keep it pristine types,,,just get her out whenever there is not a lot of snow on the road!!I drive mine on a regular basis all winter,,,I just let her sit out the active snow covered road days!! These motors LOVE the cold dry air of winter,,,you can feel the difference!!! Take heart,,,,Wal-Mart is already putting out the Spring/Summer stuff out

Seems you have altered the jet stream and because I live in Central Oregon I have been having spring weather instead of cursed winter. I drove top down twice last week and even had her out today with only a spit of snow flakes that bowed and flowed around instead of on her sleek body.
I removed the cover (in my garage) from mine today and did the walk around and stare.
That will have to do for now.
Beautiful FRC you have there.

Maybe you can join the Northern CT Posse for a cruise this year? Nothing to join, anyone is welcome.
Go to the "Regional" section of this forum, and click on the Northeast.
The Posse always lists it's events there. Good times!

I'm with you though - I'm tired of the snow.
Personally, I don't even know why you guys live up there, but keep doing it so the roads here don't get clogged up with snow birds. You have my sympathies and I wish you guys the shortest winters possible.

We've got so much snow up here...
How much?
The snow's piled so high, they don't call it a "snowfall" anymore.
It can't fall at all. It just accumulates.
Snow banks are now referred to as "snow fortresses", and you can't tell them from actual houses.
Our Mt. Washington, the coldest place in the country, has nothing height-wise on the mountain of snow surrounding my house.
I need my neighbor to text me traffic conditions so that I may pull out of my driveway.
Helicopters are grounded due to lack of visibility - they can't fly high enough to see over most drifts.
My C5 has been hibernating since October. I'll be lucky to see it again before next October...
Depressed? I look forward to the day I become depressed!
