I have flush mounted tail lights and need some help with what seals work. The tail light recesses have a taper to them, so when you flush mount them it creates more space around the light than if they are recessed. Does anyone know if the tail light seals that Southern Car Parts sells will take care of that extra space. I contacted them and they weren't sure. If your using something else what is it? Thanks for any info anyone can provide. JD
I've seen various vendors offer these seals and never really thought I had an issue with drips, etc.
When I wash my car, I use an air gun to blow out any water from the rear lights, side mirrors and door handles/locks which tend to be the primary areas the water tends to hide.
Any other reason for these seals? Do they help protect the wiring, etc.?

I had flush mounted lights with the seals and after a few months I took the seals off and put the tails back to stock location, I didn't like the flush look. And no issue with water.
