There is no danger in running a spacer. Plenty of guys on the forum run various spacers width's. I'm running 10mm on mine without any issues.

On another note, if your going to be running the TPE fenders you will need adapters not spacers. Adapters will bolt onto the hub using your existing studs and the adapter will also have studs that will now be used to bolt your wheel on.

When i was doing my TPE project I took a look at the road racing section of the Forum and there are plenty of people that race with spacers and or adapers. Personally I bit the bullit and sold my old rims/tires to off set some of the cost for the new rims/tires. Big meat was the issue and I love the look!

Buy the fenders and store them till you have enough scratch to have them painted with the right rims. There is no sense in going widebody when you still have a 295 on the back.

You should be ok unless you have big horse power then I wouldnt get into it alot are really really hard. On a stock motor should be fine with the spacer are what ever still the same here. You are still weaking the parts on what is being done on it....
