Hello all, first post. Ive seen a few pictures of C5s with what look to be really long rear windows, almost C6 style. What is this that Im seeing? Is it an aftermarket mod?
Heres an example of a stock rear window:
vs a "long rear window":
Any info? Thanks!
By the way, I just got my hopes up on vettehound.com until I started reading about the site. Even shared a few emails with a person from there. So fishy.
Thats the difference between a standard Coupe(targa) and a Fixed roof coupe(Z06).
Please explain, there were 2 different Z06 styles offered? Or when you say standard coupe, you mean a regular C5, and the Fixed roof was an option on the Z06?
I do like the roof line better in my Z06 ... BUT ... it creates a MUCH larger blind spot than the hatch back. You can work around it alright but it is a huge blind spot.
Please read up on this site a LOT more before you go walking into a dealer to buy a car.... they will bend you over the hood and give your cheeks (and wallet) a workout! :bb

Vette Hound is completely filled with scams - they prey on people's greed ... trying to buy a C6 Z06 for $28K, people get so excited they actually send deposits out.
Personally I stumbled across this rip off site several months ago, when I too emailed the "seller" about a price that was too good to be true - I was pretty skeptical and my initial gut was accurate. When the "seller" comes up with excuses why they can't speak to you, that is a dead give away. Anybody that has ever sold a car knows how much we want to speak to the buyer.
In any case, I decided to have fun with it so I played along and told the scammer I had sent the funds ... in fact I sent the entire amount because I was so worried I would miss out on the incredible deal. Then the excited scammer got all worried because he (or she) were not able to find the wire I had sent. I kept telling the scammer a different story on where to find the funds, including going to the the Hotel Manager of the local hotel who required a pass word to release the funds. The scammer was to approach the Hotel Manager and say "My body is hairless, but the sun above keeps me warm at night."
I only wish I could have been there to witness this special exchange.
