Default Cat Delete Pipes ?

I purchased a head and cam C5. The car has longtube headers and Borla cat-back. When I first went and looked at the car, the owner handed me two cat-delete pipes and said "I wouldn't dare put these on, too loud for my taste"

Currently the car is pretty loud, but I am curious as to what the difference would be with the delete pipes installed.

Is there that much of a difference with cat-delete pipes ? Is there any power gains/losses ?

Thanks !

Maybe and I mean maybe up to 5rwhp gain. I'm assuming your in the neighborhood of 480ish rwhp. Assuming you have an aftermarket xpipe and highflow cats on it now, it will be loader and you will get some funky smells. Really, unless you are 550+rwhp I wouldn't do it. Just not that much to gain.
