My wife gave the ok to look into getting new seats for my 97 corvette. I been looking on eBay and I found these Yonaka Synthetic Leather Racing Seats. They look like they would be comfortable and would look good for the price.
Has anyone else purchased these seats?
Can they be installed with out any modifications? I am not very technical
Are they durable? Does the Synthetic hold up as well as real leather?
FWIW: I run the Corbeau A4's in leather with inflatable lumbar support. They offer a lot of side support compared to the stock sport seats. Mrs. WKMCD and I have driven 8 hours straight and they were very comfortable.
There's no way I would put those seats in my car. Not only do you have to cut and weld metal to get the seats to fit, the fabric looks terribly cheap and full of wrinkles.
I really recommend the Corbeau A4s'. I know they cost a bit more, but the quality is so much better and they bolt right in.

Loving my Corbeau A4's. One of the best performance mods I have done. Yea.. I mean performance mods because I can now drive the car closer to the limits and stay stuck in my seat instead of sliding over into the passenger seat. Stock seats suck when you want to have some fun in the turns.
Super easy install too. Remove old stock seats (remove 4 bolts). Mount Corbeau brackets to seat base (4 bolts). Mount seat belt receptacle to Corbeau bracket (1 bolt). Mount new seats in car (4 bolts). Be sure to place a large towel across your door sill to you don't scratch it removing your seats and installing the new ones.
When you get your seats the Passenger seat has to mount on the drivers side, and the drivers seat has to mount on the passenger side. The seat belt area on both sides of the car stick out too much for the seats to mount in there normal location.
You will also loose your power seat functions with the Corbeau seat brackets. Some have mounted these seats to there stock power tracks, but it raises the seat an inch or so and if your tall it will be an issue. I'm just under 6ft and It would not work for me. I sat in a car with A4's on stock power tracks. I was staring at the sun visor and had to bend down to look out the window.
