I have a 99 that my drivers seat cushions are shot and my leather is ripped on the right side. Im a big guy and this is my daily driver 135K miles so far, and I have just wore the seat out.
My challenge is that if I buy new foam and new leather on the drivers side I will also need to buy new leather on the passenger side or it will look bad.
So should I order new leather for both seats (where is best) and foam (where is best) or try to find a used seat in good condition.
I also purchased new custom skins & foam from DJ Motorsport & couldn't be happier! Now you can get a custom look to fit your taste also the foam DJ supplied is much better then stock. P.S. My vette is a '99 TR FRC. Good luck!
what color are your seats?
the foam on the pass seat can be fluffed up with a steamer.
the driver side foam is most likely shot but I did some light (very light) repair of my foam with the spray can expanding foam that you get at the hardware store.
be sure to place some cardboard (or something) over the seat bottom wires on the seats to help support heavy occupants.
be sure to put pads on the wings (i used the big stickon velcro, soft side)
the reason I asked about color I have a new full aftermarket (thicker leather) set for the grey that I do not need (decided to go dif color after i got them) I got a good deal on them and will let them go for $300 + shipping.
We replaced seat covers for both and cousion for drivers side only. It looks great. We got some thicker seat covers than what came on it so they will last a long time.

I have an identical 'Vette. I'd LOVE to see some pics of the car and your new seat skins.
the bolster on the seat wears thru the seat leather on the back it is the most common place for the seat leather to wear thru, this is due to the sharp edges on the seat frame eating thru the foam and then thru the leather. the location is mid torso on the door side, the pass seat will most likely have the same problem but not as bad.
