Props to Dennis @ Double D Mods!
I wanted to write up a public thank you to Dennis, but I am recycling the PM I sent to him. I purchased a PXDX/PXHGM4 unit from him.
I received my kit last week and installed it yesterday morning. I was incredibly happy with the installation.
I plugged it in to my phone and streamed Pandora like I've wanted to do since I bought the car a few years ago.
Absolutely no engine noise is picked up or created. Even with the phone being charged and plugged in, I heard zero ground loop noise. The sound is crystal clear!
It's common to hear noise if you're using an AUX input on your deck and have it plugged in while charge. None of that happened here which speaks highly of the components used.
The installation was a piece of cake. I removed the car components needed to pull the deck out in about 15 minutes, set the pins, plugged in the adaptor, tested it, and found it a place to live. I routed the wire in and behind the ash tray. I didn’t have to cut, modify, or remove anything. When I am not using it, I just wrap up the cable and stuff it in the ash tray and close the whole lid leaving the car looking stock in appearance.
I also like that it is compatible with my Windows Valet. No incompatibilities between the two to report.
Between Pandora, AudioGalaxy, Grooveshark and Radiotime, I have a near unlimited amount of music streaming apps to choose from.
This was a smooth transaction and I would definitely recommend and do business with Dennis again!

I got the 10" cabinet JL Audio's sub and 250 watt amp and it kicks a$$, rumbles the whole car, hard to imagine the 12" cabinet..
You'll be happy with either one...you can also get a can of spray dye from the auto store's (6 or 7 bucks) and darken the cabinet real e-z if you like..

I just ordered my Pioneer avh-4200dvd from him about an hour ago. I have a JL 12-w6 and JL 500.1. Let's just say I have been heard from 1 mile away.

As an example, I was listening to Earth Wind & Fire's "I Like The Way You Move" or whatever that song is called recently and was absolutely floored. Depending on the bass note being played (there are three, primarily), I was feeling it on my scalp, my chest and on the steering wheel. It was wild.
You will love it.
Dennis is the BEST.
