Dose anyone have the flush mount tail light kit installed on their C5 and what do you think about them. I cant make up my mind on if I like them or not, it's hard to tell from the pic's i've seen on line.

Don't have them on my car, but have seen a number of cars with them on there. I personally do not care for the look, but it is something that only you can decide whether or not you like them.
Go to the hardware store, buy some 2 1/2 inch long screws of the right size, some 1/4 and 1/2 inch long spacers that the screws will fit through, and put the longer screws and spacers in to get the lights flush mounted. It will only cost a few dollars and take about 1/2 hour to do all 4 lights. Then you can look at YOUR car and see if you like them.
Flush mounted taillights are something that people seem to either love or hate. I flush mounted mine not long after I got the car for a practical reason. I live at the beach and there is a lot of sand on the roads. It seemed to always collect in the taillight recesses. I bought the screws and spacers at Lowes after reading a post I found here. If you can't find the post let me know as I copied it into a word document and would be happy to e-mail it to you.
very nice Z06, they look good in the pic's, just concerned that it will take away form the look of the classic corvette recessed tail light rear end.
Personally,,I don't understand WHY they were recessed in the first place!! I think the recessed lights look out of place with the lines of the car. I think that flush lights compliment the look/lines of the car!! The recessed lights are a great place for dust/dirt and water to collect!! When I had the lights out I drilled a few 1/8" holes on the low point of the inner lip. That with the flush mounts eliminated the water problem after rain or washing!! Some like them,,some hate them!! It is cheap,,quick and easy to do,,and just as easy to reverse if you change your mind,,,just don't throw the original screws away and you are good to go!!
Something that will work for making the spacers is the semi-rigid plastic water connecting tube for bathroom/kitchen sinks!! cheap,,and you can cut to length!! After I paid about $15 for a "kit",,,and I saw what was there I had to do one of those Homer Simpson "DOOH" numbers!!
Here's some additionalpics to help you decide. Also there were some discussions on here a while back about some members that weren't happy with the quality of the kit. I got mine from pfyc.com a supporting member here. One of the nice things I liked about this kit was that the screws supplied with them are stainless, and won't rust out like some of the other kits which are just steel screws painted lblack similiar to the factory ones. The rust occurs after you have scraped the phillips head with the screw driver thus removing some of the paint. This can easily be fixed with a dab of black touch-up paint though.
Note the stainless screws in the pic, which look nice as well, but can also be painted to match the original look:

The kit I bought came with 2 spacers 3/4", 6 at 1" and 2" T15 (torx) black screws. It also came with seals but you can find the same seal (MD Silicone Door Gasket #68668) at Home Depot and there's enough to do 2 cars.
