Default oil dip stick

OK guys im tired of this. My dipstick is not mounted at all I can pull ut straight outta the oil pan. I think I lose oil at high rpms there sometimes.

I have an lq9 block with the batwing pan. Can you post some part numbers of what you guys are using for this?

Or should I just make some modifications to the one I have.
Thanks,

Does your car have headers? It sounds like the bolt that holds the dipstick down was left out when headers were installed or some work was done involving the exhaust manifolds and the dipstick wasn't reinstalled properly. One of the bolts that holds the exhaust manifolds to the cylinder heads goes through a tab that holds the dipstick tube in place. If not, the tube will pull out every time you pull up on the dipstick.

It sounds like you have a missing bolt.

Seeing you have a lq9 and a batwing, I would say just tack a bracket to a near by bolt.

Shouldn't be too hard to come up with a bracket and location to bolt it to.
