Default Fast 102mm Intake Manifold

I bought a Fast 102mm Intake Manifold.

What is better to go with, the Aftermarket Fuel Rail System Or keep the Stock Fuel Rail System and just get the proper adapters?

My thinking is that the stock system will allow me to keep my Valve covers, whereas the aftermarket system wont.

If anyone has any pics they can post of their Fast 102mm along with some numbers that would be awesome!!

It shouldn't matter about your valve covers.[IMG][/IMG]

Mine is a 97. It had the fuel regulator on the fuel rail. I mounted an Aeromotive fuel regulator on my firewall.[IMG][/IMG]

If I go with the stock style fuel rails with the fuel rail adapters, I wonder if the covers will fit.
I like the way the covers look under the hood.
Gives it that distinct Corvette feel to it.

I never get tired of your engine pictures.

Read all about your 427 build on LS1tech, and I messaged Shawn @ Virginia Speed to get a quote on dry sleeving my LS2 block and going on a more budget friendly version of your build.

Here you go. This was the first discussed build in the country using the then new L92 heads. A lot of people had reasons they wouldn't work but I just wanted to see what could be done with GM's latest casting.

It was described as an LS1tech Administrator an epic thread. Still one of tech's most popular ever. A ton of info and some humor along the way.

Find a nice comfy chair...

Over 1200 posts and 93,000 views...

BTW: The cams I've run throughout would be considered mid-sized cams in a 346. I wanted great average power without giving up an iota of drivability.

We succeeded.

Enjoy,

Kevin

I read until 2am one night. I could barely see straight afterwards.

Wish I was closer, as I'd love to see first hand just how 'mild' your car seems compared to what's underneath the sheep's clothing.

I used the ls2 fuel rails and spacer kit. I do not believe the ls1/6 rails will work.

LOL...I can drive the car at 600RPM/6th gear and pull away cleanly in rush hour traffic. Parking lots, neighborhoods, etc. no issues. It's really schizophrenic. It's easy to forget what's on tap just driving around. Extremely mild mannered and violently quick when it's time to play.

My car is an 01. I have not tried putting th covers on. The covers have ridges on the side that goes near the intake and the ridges do not line up the same on the fast as they on the ls6 did. The other issue I noticed is the ls2 fuel rail looks bigger round than the ls1/6. The covers snap onto the fuel rail and with the ls2 rail being bigger it looks like it would not work. I have not actually tried it because of the these items I saw.
