Default Anyone go with OBX headers and x pipe.

I notice they got these cheap headers on ebay anyone have. If so could you feel the difference in HP gain. Are they good quality.

Yes, instantly, I've had them on my car for 2 years now and I think they're great, deeper more throaty tone (stock catback) felt them even more when I sent the computer out for a tune.

I have them on my car now for three years
they have been great and I love them
however
the newer sets of these from OBX are garbage
all kinds of fitment issue and OBX is the worst company I had ever dealt with as far as handling problems on products with issues.
I stopped selling these due to so many problems
passenger side fitment is horrible
the headers were angled up so you could not get a good fitment at the cat or resonator
some had o2 bungs stripped or not even threaded.
OBX has a policy for you or the vendor you purchased from to send them back at the cost of the vendor or yourself and they would send a replacement. If your car had been started it voids warranty as well.
the replacements were just as bad or even sometimes worse.

headers from 2-3 years ago are fine
the new ones I would stay far away and go with XS Power

there is a reason i dont offer these to my customers anymore

Just my two cents on them

Wow thanks guys i will not be going with these headers. Im not taking a chance on fitment issues. If they worked great for the rest of you right on but it sounds like there not made perfect everytime for the perfect fit.

I believe we bought them by the same time. Got mine from a forum vendor (Dennis maybe?) and my installer didn't have any problems.

I have a set that I will be installing as soon as my garage is built(hopefully in the next few weeks). Was told they were the earlier sets so I hope I have no issues.

to chime in on what Denis is saying. I was one of the first to buy a LT header setup from him for my old 97 Vette. There were a few Fitment issues but I worked them out pretty easily. However, I would not buy these headers again because of the lack of quallity control I'll steal a partial quote from Tom Hank's Character Forest Gump, OBX LT headers are like a box of chocolate's,"you never know what your gonna get" One set could be ok, the next completely garbage. However, if you do get a good set, I see no reason why they would not yeild the same power numbers as the other big name (way more Expensive headers) If I were you and you don't want to pay the money for a set of American Racing, LG Motorsports or Kooks LT headers then i'd go with the XS Power LT header combo. Made right here in the U.S.A.
