Absfixer sucks. No phone call returns. Who else repairs ebcms? They need to fix what absfixer couldn't. They couldve called me back at least. Their lifetime guarentee sucks if u can't use it. Reminds we of what farley said in the movie black sheep lol
IIRC a new EBTCM is only in the $300 range from Gene at GM Parts House. ABS fixer will be the cheapest but you have to know what your computer is doing. his fix is for a very certain common problem. its possible for it to be another problem.
I get the same EBCTM codes on my car on occasion with all the warnings. dealer diagnosed it as a bad EBCTM right after I bought the car. but the actual code says ABS pump motor stalled, apparently that's a known problem as well and not actually a failure of the EBCTM. ABS fixer would not be able to fix my particular problem.
Look man, I'm not home right now to load pics because I've been meaning to post about EBCM issues and how it's kind of not worth sending to ABSfixer.
If you're good with your hands with ANY sort of mechanical know how this is a no brainer. I took out the EBCM and after digging online for hours found threads on THIS FORUM, of how to fix your own issues.
It literally was a solder point or 2that had come lose on a relay. Again I've got pics of the whole process and it's honestly pretty easy. But as a precautionary measure I ordered another relay, and decided to take mine apart. Separated it and made sure the copper wiring inside that makes the relay work, weren't damaged. After that I put back together, slid the relay back into position and soldered it.
Put the box back together threw it in the car, cleared codes, started her up and BAM everything works. I'd like to go into more detail but I'm in the process of moving from one hotel in Vegas to another located on Nellis AFB for work.
I'll be sure to answer questions if you've got them.
I may be mistaken but this is the 2nd or 3rd post I think I've seen with negative comments regarding Absfixer. One of the other posters noted correctly that Absfixer can't fix all problems with EBCTM but not returning phone calls is another issue. Hope he jumps on here to discuss.
5 days later and no phone call. I went with someone else. This guy sucks. By the way, he doesnt like to recieve packages now that requires a signature.....that says something....
I have used Module Master twice now, first on my BMW about 8 months second on my C5 about 1 month ago. Both times all my issues went away and had my unit back in about a week. I can fully recommend them. 150.00 bucks.

DONT USE THIS GUY. I WARNED YOU!
I had great service from Brandon, He always answered my e-mails and fixed my abs unit in 1 day and had it sent back to me, all took less than a week. There must be a reason he won't answer your e-mails.
The reason no signature is because he works and isn't home to sign for them. Makes sence to me.

I received great service from ABSfixer. Filled out the form from his website and shipped my unit. got it back in less than one week. It's worked perfectly for two years. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him.
