Hi All, Finished up the painting a couple of weeks ago and put everything back together. This winter I added L-5 rear quarters and splash guards along with a rear spoiler from Caravaggio. Great pieces. Also thanks to everyone on the discussions on all these items. Also, I am running C6 Z06 stock wheels and tires. Clearance is tight in the rear on the 19X12's, but I am not rubbing on the tub.
Well I had my 2003 out to County Corvette Inc. in West Chester (one of our sponcers) and they really did a fabulous job on my New Michelin Pilot Sport PS/2 ZP, all four tires and 4 new TPMS and High Speed balancing. And since Gene Culley had a sale on a new set of plugs and wires, I couldn't pass it up. Now it is damn near a totally New car. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner !
And with the Corsa 'Pace Car' cat back exhaust they put on last year, it not only sounds sweet, it runs likewise. Nothing better than listening to a beautiful smooth running V8 !
The coves are there, I painted them to bring them out. Missed having a straight axle, and wanted something different. Painted them trying to duplicate carbon fiber with old school flames and pin striping. That was my first attempt at airbrushing chrome trim.
Rear accent I did in a carbon pattern also, used a black pearl. You don't notice the pattern till you get closer to the car.
Love the rear fenders - some day I'd like to put a set of them on mine.
They are fairly clean and easy to work with. Had a couple of low spots on the passengers side fender, but not bad. These are the L-5's. I shaved off the rear markers and antenna. The antenna is now a fixed antenna behind the rear bumper and reception is fine.
