Wow! Thanks for posting that link! I have heard of "The Dragon", however I haven't had the chance to drive it (yet). This gives me a good feel for what to expect. It looks like a beautiful run and probably draws a lot of fans in the autumn, although wet leaves on the road might not be welcomed by us auto enthusiasts.
Very encouraging to see that the slower moving trucks, minivans, etc. actually pull over and allow you to pass.

You need to come up and at least do it one time. Believe me you will love it. I have done it years ago on a kaw 1000. And about 4 times in the vette. It has been great ever time.. Robert

Cool. My brother is comming down from NY in May for race week and we are planning a trip to the NCM and doing the "Dragon" on the way up.

Very nice video I have ridden the Dragon on the Harley several times, but have not taken the Corvette....yet 
There is also a road I am sure you are aware of if you live in NC; NC181 running from Grandfather Mountain to Morganton which is also a favorite of mine. Looked like a great day to be out for a drive too - supposed to be 80 here tomorrow; can't wait

Have ridden "The Dragon" on my motorcyle a few years ago, but not in the Corvette.
That should change the first week in May as I plan to check this off my bucket list then.

Is there better times to visit The Dragon? Meaning, times when there is less traffic, etc.? Times of year, time of day, etc.?
I would hate to drive 500 miles only to be stuck in a traffic jam. (Like I was today on Clark Road in Sarasota!)
Love the snowbirds, but man, you don't need to bring your car to a full stop in order to turn right into a strip mall...

Using small key board,
cherahalla = higher speeds better scenery.
go on a Wednesday, before schood lets out for the summer. Too many bikers on weekends and once school is out.
