Default Help

I was wondering if someone could help with a few questions. I just bought a 2000 corvette. It runs great however occasionally I get a small whistle from the drivers window, and the drivers window leaks in the rain fairly bad. Is this hard to fix? Does anyone know what the dealer charges? Can it be fixed by the average Joe corvette owner by himself?

One other question, I was looking at a 2001 z06, does anyone know what the performance difference between this and my basic 00 vette? Also is there anyway I can know for sure this is a real z06, and the guy just
didn't put on some badges on the side? Any help would be appreciated.

I will try to answer your 2 questions.
The window is easy to adjust, You can tip it in or out, Do a search for window adjustment.

You can bet the 2001 Z06 is a Z, Because if it is a FRC the Z is all they made in 2001, I believe the Z had 385 horse power and your 2000 coupe has 345 I believe.

Now for the Z06 question. If it is a 2001 and not a hatch back, it is a Z06. The roof line is different than that of the coupe or traga top Corvette. The Z06 has a trunk. The difference in it and the stock Corvette is a 2000 Corvette had 345 hp and the 2001 Z06 has 385 hp.

very simple fix buddy. That 17 number vin will tell you everything you have on that car from motor, rear end gear to belt size
Get the vin number and head to the chevy dealership. Have them run a report on your car. Thats all it takes.
2000 here to and don't be scared to ask if you have a question. Lot of cool folks on here.
good luck

I agree ask them to run a VIS report... it will tell you when it was built , what options it had, the delivering dealer, all the warranty and service work done at GM dealerships.....
