I dont know what kind it is, but mine is like this one.
Looks to be made by the same company anyway..
I like it because it keeps the glare down, heat down, and also I can put some stuff up there and it wont slide around! Like my sunglasses.

I was hoping there was a better looking mat than just the standard one you always see. Guess that there really is no real choice other than color or a logo on it

they are probably made from carpet remnants I'll stick to AC and others can take the rug approach! In an accident you could have a rug on your head even if you are not bald. If the winshield was not so sloped a cat could sit there too! Only kidding.

Being older than dirt, and having 115 degree summers, I am looking into getting one. Fixing a cracked dash is more expensive than buying a dash mat.

In Florida, with 110 degree summers, I'd rather replace a dash in 5-10 years than drive around with a JC Whitney product on my dash!

I have a question, Why is it when someone asks to see something there are a lot of members that insult people with their remarks? If you don't have one or use one why not just move on?

Yes,people do seem to have strong feelings about them-seems kind of odd,the same people who think they need to keep their Vette's paint protected with many coats of overpriced wax, won't drive them in he rain, won't park them in a parking lot,and smear leather conditioner on all the leather to "preserve" it, won't use a cover to protect the dash from UV damage,or keep some of the heat away from their "conditioned" leather seats and the rest of the interior.
That doesn't make sense to me,but then again,it doesn't have to.
Dashmats just aren't considered "cool"by the majority, apparently - fortunately for me,I quit worrying about whether I was "cool" or not, many years ago...

A good set of polarized sunglasses will kill the glare instantly!

I think I'll wait till my dash cracks and looks ugly. Then I'll buy a dash mat to cover it all up!

With enough heat, they will discolor and crack. Remember windshields act like magnifying glasses while in direct sunlight. In high heat areas like Redding, Ca. 115-118 degree days are normal in July. In the southwest states, you have dry, high heat areas.
In southern Ca. , Death Valley, Needles, etc.. it is sooooo hot, the devil will not go there.
