Car will not start

Took the car out for a spin today. Weather was great and had a good ole time until i turned off the car. Tried to turn it on, nothing.?.! NOTE: while i was trying to start the engine would turn over as if it were going to start and shut off. Let it sit for several minutes and it started again.

Made it home pulled the codes; all historical (engine light was on until i cleared the codes). Wrote down codes just in case. Started the car several times, pulled codes and yet nothing, however SECURITY LIGHT remains. I have a new FOB and tried it... just in case because one of the historical codes had something to so with security.

My next step is to un-plug the battery to see if it'l reset and maybe give me a new code.

I'm clueless: I've search several forums; although it's mentioned no real answers/solutions have been given.

Sounds like key problems or ignition switch issues.

Another symptom: the seat memory doesn't engage with the key...

Do you have a CLB installed ? If not, it sounds like the common Column Lock issue acting up. I had the same thing happen a few years back but since I installed a CLB there has been no re-occurance

Yes... i installed it several years ago.
