Greetings to all: While driving my 2003, the "check engine" light came on - calling out - "oil temp" - the actual oil temp displayed at that time was about 180d - the temp kept climbing (while driving) temp stayed constant (sitting still) - shut car off @ 218d (oil temp)
Indicated oil pressure was 25psi (idle) 32+ psi (driving) Indicated water temp was 185 - 200d
Question: am I correct in assuming the problem is probably the "oil temp sensor"? Where is this sensor located? I would guess it is by the oil filter? as this is usually the hottest oil?
