I own a 1997 Torch Red 6 speed for about 5 yrs. Love the car and all in all has been one the best cars I have owned. My wife and I get alot of enjoyment out driving it, but it never really went beyond that.
Till one day about a month ago, I looked up the build numbers for Corvettes and was shocked.
It showed only 9752 built in 97 and only 2809 were 6 speeds.
Is my vette really that unique? I am familiar with the rarer Corvettes of the world, but didn't think mine was anything special.
Are these numbers correct? Asking the people that know alot more than I.

Those numbers are correct. It was a short build year for the '97s I believe. Does that mean it will be more valuable or that it is rare - not really - at least not to the market. To the owner - of course it is.
