Bit of Bad Luck
On 3/11 I lost control of my work truck on an icy bridge and wrecked. I got banged up pretty badly. Worst of all, I broke one of the small bones in my right wrist. My arm is in a cast for as long as 12 weeks.
My Vette will be going unused for quite a while.

Hate to hear that man but at least you will get back to 100%. You can go out and seat in her and start her up some.

I'll be 52 this year and until this incident had never wrecked or been hurt in a crash.
10 minutes after I wrecked a car lost control and came across the bridge backwards.
20 minutes after that a panel van lost control and slammed into my wrecked truck. The van driver was hurt pretty badly.
It was bad stretch of road that morning.

Wow that is unfortunate but 1) You walked away in good enough shape to write this and 2) it wasn't the vette in the wreck!
I hope you have a speedy recovery.

you will only have a cast from palm to elbow.
you will still be able to drive.
i drove my Z06 with a cast for a shattered right wrist from palm to elbow and a cast on my left arm from shoulder to wrist.
harder to get out then it was to get in or drive.
here is a tip: don't buy the shower cover crap they try to sell you.
use two bread plastic bags held on with an ace bandage.
good luck healing and in the 3-4 months of therapy after the cast comes off.
