First time posting here, just bought a 1997 Corvette and can not figure out if something is wrong with the changer or I am not doing it right. the part that holds the disc, where it says this side up I load the disc with the label up and install, close door. I can here it loading, disc flashes on radio tried hitting tape and aux and I can here the deck trying to load several times but no music. I did not get a manual with car. Thanks ahead of time for any help.
Sounds like your CD changer is busted, I went through a few of these before purchasing a raido with a CD instead of cassette. Can only load 1 CD at a time buts it less hassel. I also installed a I pod hook up which works great.
Did the same with my changer. Load the discs label side down. Put cartridge back in. It will take it a while to go through each slide. After that it should work. I only use bought cd's though. Don't know if it will read burned discs.
good luck!

Thanks I'll let it cycle through and see if that works.

I hope not, I am going to see if FEVEST suggestion works.
Label upside down as suggested, insert magazine, close door on changer unit, wait for the discs to cycle through. You should see the icon on the head unit flashing. When it stops flashing, it's ready to play.
If you need an owners manual, you can download one from free from GMPARTSHOUSE. Remember Gene and Patrick for your GM parts orders as well...

Works fine with burned discs. The music needs to be AIFF, the player will NOT handle MP3 or AAC. If you are using iTunes, the easiest way is to select a playlist and then tell it you want to burn an AUDIO disc. iTunes will convert the AAC or mp3 into AIFF when it does the burn. (This will save a lot of hard drive space as AIFF files are very large compared to MP3 or AAC.

Once on the page, scroll down to "Corvette", click on "show" and the screen will open up with specific downloads of each year. Just click on your year to download the pdf. GM will also send you a paper copy but that is $$.
Also, if you ever change the cassette deck out for the Bose cd unit, it hooks up exactly the same as the cassette unit. Nothing to change, rear plugs are the same. Oh yea, and the 12 disc in the rear will work with it also, just press aux to play from the 12 disc. So you'll have a 13 disc player.
Also, welcome!!!
