Got my car back today
Turns out I cracked the housing on my diff (3.90)
I replaced it with a used 3.42 off of a 97 w 50k mikes on it.
Cracked the diff and replaced 390w 342
Probably will do the output upgrade on the LH shaft in the future. what a difference in the gears!!!
Not nearly as aggressive but it seams to run quieter and is easier to drive (the car is modded and loud)
It has a completely different personality - not better or worse - just different - more pleasant in a way (I must be getting old)
I will obviously taking it easy until I can get the upgraded shaft installed and a brace added.
Tranny seams no worse for the wear
