Default Cup Holders

I was wondering if anyone knows if cup holders are still available for the c5? Years ago, I bought a cup holder from a member named Lori, and it was a very nice product. I can't find any information and wouldlike to buy another one.

Thanks,

Chuck

I don't know if she is still around, but I think you mean girlinabox. Try that on the auction site.

Can the travel buddies be easily installed (and removed) or do you need to take off the center console, etc.? I like the idea of having the double cup holder, however only for road trips.

I have the Girl-In-A-Box holder. Very rarely use it. Doesn't hold the 44oz. cups well.

Thanks Steve. Girlinabox is the one who was selling these great cup holders, and very reasonable, as I remember.

Installs in a couple seconds with no tools or anything to remove.
Basically slips under the lip of the console trim and sits on the carpet below.
I questioned how well it would stay in place, but it holds great.
It doesn't move at all and I'm a spirited driver.

If it fits on the driver's side too, I may buy another one.
Reason being on trips you need a garbage can.
One hole for the drink and one for trash for each person.

The Travel Buddy works well and is a simple install. A number of vendors sells it.

I have both a double and single TB unit and love them both.

The reason I have both is this: I bought the single and absolutely LOVED it. It matched my shale/neutral interior of my AE, deep enough to hold any drink and easy to install.

In 2006 I posted a review of it and the owner of the company sent me a double just for my words. I replied to him that I really did not need another, though I appreciated it. He was so very nice and would NOT let me pay him or send it back.

Great company JETTCO AUTOMOTIVE and even greater owner JACK JETT.

You can easily make your own "GirlInABox" style holders for just a few bucks. The actual fold open cup holder used is common in RV and boating circles.....many auto parts stores also stock them.
Rather than using the plastic back I just decided where I wanted mind and used an awl to poke the screw holes through the carpet. Then I just used a thin piece of 1/4" wood slipped in behind the carpet from the floor up to past the mounting location and screwed through the carpet into the wood. Now the cup holder just seems to float on the passenger carpet. I would bet you could also just use fender washers and a short bolt/nut.

while looking at this thread i seen a bunch of cup holder ads at the top of the page, those look a lot like these with a plexiglass back ?
how does it mount ? velcro ?

you can get them in different colors $2.95 , they also make double ones.

this might be my next project if someone can tell me how they mount and the length of that plexiglass .
