Connecting Ipod to vette?

I was wondering what's the easiest way to connect an ipod to a 1999 vette's bose sound system. The system also has a 12 CD changer in the trunk.

Any advice or help would be appreciated

For ease and not wanting to take the dash apart I just use an FM style transmitter, plugs into the cig light and charges the Ipod at the same time. Also holds it so it does not go sliding around.

I think the GMAUX10 is the easiest since you dont have to pull the dash apart to install.

Ditto on that. Disconnect the 12 disc cd changer, plug it in and you are good to go.

I started out using the FM Transmitter, in my area just never seemed to get a decent station and the music quality seemed poor. I agree Mr Bill....talk to Dennis at DD's....

I agree with this. I have one in my car and almost exclusively listen to pandora through my iPhone. I don't miss the CD changer at all and it is very easy to install.

If a cd changer was not a factory install, is the factory cd wiring harness in the rear? The DD sounds like a really easy solution.

I would normally go look but still on crutches recovering from broken heal bone and can't easily get access as the top is off and stored in the back.

I've been using the Peripheral Electronics ISGM73 interface with great sucsess. Connect it to the 12 disc changer and run the wire up to the front. Simple as pie and no need to rip the dash apart.

I tried the FM transmitters for a while in the beginning. What a waste of time and money!

Do you have to actually take the cd changer out or can you unplug it and leave it in place?

You can leave the CD changer right where it is.

I just got one of these off of FleaBay for $139.00. This adaptor allows you to keep the 12 disc CD if you have one.
