Default BFGoodrich KDW

Got a new set of shoes installed. The rears were worn in the middle and worn in a way to cause more road noise. Got a set of KDW put on the stock rims. Have not had a chance to drive with them much but I have heard good things about wet and dry traction with them. The car came with Firestone tires on the front which look brand new, almost, so I have them holding those for me until later this week when I can pick them up.

I have had my eye on these tires for a while now, so I'm interested in hearing your impressions.

i HATE mine... they are insanely loud... cant wait to get rid of them. i will say that the wet traction is good... dry is pretty comparable to any other non DR tire ive had.

I love mine for the wet and dry traction, but road noise wasn't their priority.
but i would replace them again with KDWs

Road noise? I don't notice a difference. I dont believe corvettes are quiet cars stock. What type of performance tire provides great performance and is silent? Maybe a Cadillac El Dorado is more suited to ones needs if they're looking for they're car to sound like a whisper.

Only street tire I'll ever buy, I've put them on several of my cars and they are a fantastic tire, especially for the price. The grip fantastic in the dry and they work well in the wet. I've cut consistent 1.9 60s with my supercharged vette on those tires.

They have a little road noise, but I've never really heard it in my modified cars. I had to push in the clutch and idle at speed with the top off/windows down to notice what people were talking about.

I see BPG is running 19" rims up front. Perhaps running such a low profile up front may be the cause of them being obnoxiously loud for him?

The stock F1 supercars or PS2 are better. More dry grip. Better handling in the corners. JMO.

I've had the KDW2 for about 2 years or so. They are NOISEY for sure. (mine are 335 so that add to that as well)

As far as traction goes I think that they are pretty good for the corners on the road, not the best but not bad by any means. I would have liked stickier tires on the Auto X but they did descent there for a treadware rated at 300.

I would like them to stick better under HARD 1st gear acceleration but hey when you have 400+ HP any tire is gonna be a little tricky.

My next tire it going to be a SOFT tire though, like the toyo ra1. I don't drive it much and figure what the hell.
