Default 01Z Clutch problem? Need help.

I have a 2001Z and the clutch pedal gets a real soft feel to it after I accelerate really hard and go through the gears fast. Someone told me that the clutch master cyclinder that comes stock on the car will do that after a while and that I need to replace it with an after market clutch master cyclinder? Anyone with some advise would be appreciated.

The problem you described, could be attributed to a list of things.
Such as. Clutch, slave, clutch m/c, even clutch fluid.
Tell what you know about your current clutch set up, such as....
What kind/make of parts. How old are the parts. Condition of the fluid in the clutch resevoir. Manner the car was driven w/ these parts.
How long have you owned the car.
All the answers to these questions will help in coming up w/ possible solutions.
Good luck.

If your clutch fluid is black, you can make things a lot better by flushing it with new fluid. I struggled along with that for a few years. Eventually it just got too bad to work on the race track. A replacement master cylinder didn't fix the problem. I had to replace the slave cylinder which means pulling the drive train. I replaced the clutch and flywheel while I was in there.

The car is all original with stock parts. It has 45,000 miles on it, was a one owner older gentleman that had the car car before me. And the clutch fluid is black. I have had the car 6 months.

If the fluid is black as you mentioned. The fluid wasn't maintained
properly by the previous owner.

The previous owner being an elderly gentleman, doesn't mean he didn't drive the Dog S--- out of it. We do know he didn't maintain the
clutch fluid.
If not familiar w/ the "Ranger" clutch fluid change out. Do a "search"
in the tech section & perform this proceedure.(many times)
If it was me, I would try the cheapest fixes first.
1. Ranger method fluid change out.
2. Install clutch Tick master cylninder.
While changing out the cluth m/c, bleed the clutch slave cyl.
3. If still having the same prombem after the (2) steps above, your
probably in need of a new f/wheel, p/plate,throw out bearing,
slave cylinder & pilot bearing.
Good luck.
