i readed alot of 'what to look before buying' but still its a bit more complicated at me..
now the owner was very nice, answered everything possible though phone, was even nice enough to tell me that he aint 100% sure that the car will work normaly after time.. i dont know.. since its the only c5 in my country selling at the moment, and i really want a c5.
So qusestion is, when i take a good look at the car in person, and if i decide to buy it - what kind of problems can i expect..? and how mutch would i have to invest.
i would love to hear from experience of c5 owners or previous owners.. thanks for every help in advance and thanks for your time reading.

Do a search on here things to look for are problems to look for. One long big list will come up for you.... Robert
13,500.00 to me is high for the car with 190,k miles on it. By NADA book 13,900.00 is high retail for it. Unless he had a new motor and paint and inside the car looks like new. 10,k to me is more in line on that car. Man look at Kelley blue book in the net at the price on the car even lower for it....
Where are you? If your in Europe I wouldn't do it, getting some parts for that car here is tough/impossible (like the EBCM), even normal things like the tire pressure monitors will most likely kill you in Europe.

The car as the owner said aint in good condition, but thats not my problem i can take care of interior after time.
i'm worryed about problems on engine that i might have after time or any other underhood problems. since it has high KM's
I have a '98. Bought with 20K miles - now has 89K. Tire pressure monitors are fine. You can fix them yourself or buy repaired ones online. The only problems I've had were the clutch slave cylinder (cheap part but tough to replace yourself) and the oil pressure sensor (again cheap part).
Necessary parts are available via the internet. Fedex and UPS deliver worldwide.
Good luck with it!
Good luck sccs-just read the forum well and record all major problems with c-5's then ask seller if these have been addressed -ask as many questions as you can-its all about maintenance and servicing these cars properly-1970-440-out-

Reason: spelling
I have a 98 MN6 (manual) coupe with 83k miles on it. Bought it four years ago at around 67k miles. The car has served me good and I have not had any problems that I could not fix myself except for the "SHOCKS INOPERATIVE" "SERVICE RIDE CONTROL" message if you have the F45 shocks on the car. It turned out to be a bad ignition switch after all.
I had the same feelings as you when purchasing the 2 owner 98 and the best peace of mind came through a thorough inspection at my local Chevy dealer which set me back $200 but was worth every penny.
Can you service/repair this car yourself? If not it can be a real exspensive ordeal for you. Service parts will most likely be as scarce as the cars themselves. I just bought a higher milage 99 vert, and have been busy reparing it. Get one thing fixed, something else pops up. learn how to read the codes stored in the pcm, check them when you go look at the car. Then I'd drive the car for at least an hour or more if possible, city and high way. Most of the things wrong with my car didn't cost much, but I'm doing the work myself. I did a lot of reading on here to prepare myself for this adventure. Good luck. By the way I love driving my new to me 99.

@92GA, i have a neighbour who is repairing my cars, so i can get a little bit more cheaper though, also, i will have around 2k-3k euros ready just for the parts and stuff, that i will be willing to give away. but if there was any other thing that costed more then this just a simple thing then thats out of my reach
thanks to Vetteman Jack for sending me very nice information!
thanks again, will probabbly be seeing you in the 'repair section in about a month
I think this would take care of that.. if this really works?
You do not need that.A strong magnet will do it. TPS are available at Tire Rack for $63 each when you need them. Read all the stickies before you buy it
In the passt few days im like studying this car haha,
my probably last and final question is, what can i really fear, what part on car is the most expensive that can be a problem at this 190k KM's/118k milles

The DRIVER! HA HA
Again, being in Europe, parts are going to be hard to get and Expensive even using the internet. Some parts are not even available anymore since manufacturers do not have to offer them after 10 years.
The common stuff is the Oil pressure sender, EBCM, tire pressure monitors, Noisy Fuel pump and the biggest issue you'll probably have with a car with that many miles on it is the TRANSMISSION.
