Need some help on tires.
I need to buy some tires for my '01 Vert but don't need anything high performance and expensive. I was quoted from Hillyers 265/40/17 at $210 ea. and 295/35/18 @ $295 ea for a total of $1010 installed. Does that sound like a reasonable price or could I do better somewhere else?

If you are looking for a decent summer tire I would look at Sumitomo HTRZ II at Tire Rack, They are very affordable, Ride well and look good.
You can get a set of 4 stock size for around 400.

I ditched my like-new runflats when I bought my 4000-mile Coupe in '08. Went with BF Goodrich g-force Super Sport All-Season tires, bought and shipped from Tire Rack for $600. I have no complaints at all with the tires. I think they also have that tire in a somewhat higher-performance version, maybe summer only or something.
I only have about 5000 miles on them now so can't speak to mileage but see no wear to speak of.

I have these on my C4. They don't look like any fancy & pricey ones, but they ride great and the handling is perfect, even in rain.
