Default air temp sensor 1998

This may sound dumb but, do all corvettes have it in the dash or only the up graded heat and air units? Mine is a standard heater and there is nothing behind the cover in the dash. Is this correct? I just bought the car and I am trying to short it out. Thanks

It is not necessary to have a temp sensor when you have no equipent to read it -

I have not heard too much on this and have seen even less Vette's without the digital readout dual climate control units.

I will do a little checking - you might want to contact Bill Curlee in the TECH section he will know, Bill knows everything

Thanks,Matt

Manual control heater/ac units do not have a temp sensor. For the one equipped with the auto heat/ac unit there is a temp sensor is mounted under the front bumper and one mounted behind the small grill beside the ignition. Normally what you see in the grill on the dash is the twilight sensor.
