I installed my C6Z06 shocks today that I bought from GM Parts House. Took 6 hours with a lunch break. That's in my home garage, a lift sure would have made this job easy. I had a rear shock that was leaking oil so an upgrade was a must. Test drive was good, ride was better and I thought it handled better also. I'll give it some time to settle, a good upgrade.
Make this thread worth clicking other than saying you put in shocks and "ride was better, thought it handled better". With a blown-out shock to begin with I'd sure hope it's better.
I'm not lowered. I didn't measure my height before I started but it does look like it's sitting a little higher after install. I really want to let it settle before I comment much on ride & control.
Thank you for your business and thank you for posting. The ride height normally goes down a little further after 500 to 1000 miles of driving. Be sure to give them a good test and post your feedback!
Awesome setup! I have C6 Z06 shocks & they work really well compared to c5z shocks. The rebound rate is much higher compared to C5Z shocks. I haven't tried 04 shocks though.
