My 04 came with the Mag wheels on it when I bought it last year. Don't care for the color but I understand they are very light so I bought some track tires for them and am going to use them for that. I guess back then they were a cool option....who knows.

The lighter weight was a primary reason for buying them - besides they look very good IMO. But they do chip easily (rock chips, changing tires, etc).
They started out costing $3K a set back when they first came out, but by the end of the C5 run, they were down to $995 a set.

Yep, best bang for the buck. Just make sure the set you buy is true and doesn't have cracks. Strip'em and have'em powder coated, which is a much harder coating and more resistant to chips than the stock paint. I wouldn't trade mine for any of the more "common" aftermarket wheels. Weight-wise, you can't beat'em for the price.
