I just put a new B & B Bullet exhaust on yesterday and the right side fit perfectly. Nice and level where it should be. The left side is another story. Everything bolted up fine but when I put the back half of the exhaust on it was about 4 or 5" lower then the right side. By pushing it up and holding while I tightened
the clamp it was OK. But after I took it on the road for a test drive I looked at it and it had dropped about 2". I had a Route 66 on it before and always had the same trouble a little but but not as bad.
My thoughts were to loosen the clamp push it back up and re tighten it.
But before I lower it either see if I can get someone to tack weld the connection or drill a couple of 1/8" holes and put some set screws in it so it cant twist and fall back down.
Anyone have this problem and found a good fix?
I have the same problem with the Bullets on my 2002 Z06. I just periodically adjust the side that droops and gently tighten the clamp. I hope eventually the pipes will stay put. If not, I would consider a tack weld to hold everything in place.
I've got Bullets on my car and have never gotten the tips to line up perfectly. The right side tips are slightly lower than the left. I've tried everything (except welding) to keep them in place, but nothing has worked so far. Good luck.
My left side sticks out further than the right side and when I try to push it in to make it match the right side, it will bump up against the swaybar bushing. I guess their quality control isn't as great as it should be.
B&B bullets are the only Vette exhaust systems that I have heard that give the aggressive sound that I like in my car. Most of the systems I have heard sound like an outboard motor idling!! That kills it for me! I don't care how they sound while driving, if it sounds like I have an Evinrude motor it in while sitting still!!
this may be caused by your x-pipe if you have one. I'm using a corsa x-pipe, and it made my ti exhaust uneven. i just had to try and set it at the right spot, and slowly tighten everything down while i adjusted the position of the tips.
Had my B&B bullets for a year now, still lined up perfect. Put some muscle behind all that hustle, them clamps aint gonna break. Crank them down tight!!!

OH YES THEY WILL. I sold Steve's car to him with the route 66's they were off a little as Steve said. I tried 3 or 4 time and finally broke the bolt. A carrige bolt grounded on the edges was my replacement.
