Default Thinking about LT Headers for my Z

What do you guys reccomend?

I'm also looking to get a good deep sound out of it. So far my car is 100% stock. What do you guys reccomend to get that deep muscle car sound?

thanks!

There are lots of opinion threads on this subject (search). Lots of preferences.

I went with LG PRO LTH, by the way..

+1 on the search but if we are listing opinions I went with American Racing, no cats. Bolted to the stock Ti I noticed a great improvement in sound. But got bored and just purchased a corsa touring catback to tweak a bit more.

I personally would go with the LG pro system after experience with it on two vettes with phenomenal results. That being said I was forced to find a different system for my camaro because LG hadn't come out with their camaro system at the time. I went with ARH and was very pleased and made great power. As far as the muscle car sound goes, B&B hands down. For the catback that is.

check the parts for sale section, deals to be had for sure! I think LG, ARH and Dynatech are all very good headers with easy installs. The kooks are nice too but I've heard they are a bit trickier to install.

American Racing Headers, X-Pipe with high flow cats and a 15713 Magnaflow catback.......my personal favorite setup fot that 60's musclecar sound. Throw in a nice cam lope and you are there.

I have the LG streets and got great results! You won't hear much of the muscle car sound in till you open it up into the higher RPM's but you will feel more power all the way across the power band. Headers are one of the best mods to start with and then you can add an axle back like b&b or borla if you want to disturb the peace. Since your a local I can show you my car and you will see what I mean!

I want to buy their system, I've read good things. But getting anxious Vendor has been saying he'll have a pretty good deal "soon" for quite some time now and nada yet. So thinking of going with Texas Speed headers.

I have LG 1 7/8" and I love em. I use and abuse them at race tracks and they still end up giving me a boat load of power.

XSPowers. You don't want tsp's. They will work, but you have to cut the tunnel plate and they look terrible.

After installing LT's, I noticed an immediate improvement in acceleration as well as a lower growl to the exhaust. I went with LG Pro's with cats.

I went with Dyna Tech's and the Magnaflows for a muffler. really like the sound. I started out with the Corsa Pace Car but decided that it was away too loud and the Magnaflows give it a little more muted sound and no drone either,

Oh boy hear we go....I have the LG Street series. LOVE EM!!! With a tune i gained 42rwhp and 40tq!!! I drove the car with those coupled with Corsas Extreme Exhaust WITHOUT cats for 2 years. Unless you want THAT loud, i wouldnt recommend it. It sounds AMAZING tho above 3krpm. Just did a cam and decided it was too loud as it sat before so i added LG's high flow cats and it has done WONDERS. The exhaust bellow is smoother all the way through the rpm range, a decently amount more quiet and screams up top under WOT. NO DRONE and surprisingly even more humble in 6th while cruising 70-80mph. Best of luck.
