I got a very similar message from a guy when I posted a WTB ad the other day. He said he had several name brands, but I told him I only wanted an MGW. I found one and posted my B&M for sale. He then PM'd me and asked how much would I sell mine for I just ignored it and didnt reply again.
I know who it is because I saw the OP's name in the last visitor list.
That's funny, it's too bad there are people that try to bs like that. Good thing is you didn't fall for it. For me I would I have replied: WELL, THEN GIVE ME THE STRONGEST MOUSE TRAP OF THEM ALL!!!!! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND AS AN ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACK, THESE MOUSETRAPS ARE MY WAY OF LIFE!!!! lol. I can't stand scammers. Good luck finding an LS6 Intake Manifold. They pop up in the classifieds occasionally, got to jump on one when they come!
Well, don't be shy. Since he's a member here, tell us who it is so we can all PM him and ask him about his 'better mousetrap'. I'm sure a couple hundred PMs with nothing but gibberish from our end will have him pick somewhere else to spam

Recently I posted in the for sale/wanted section that I was looking for a LS6 intake. This is the conversation that I have been getting over PM.
message 1 What cid is your engine? I have all types .
my reply to message 1
I have a LS1 from a 2000 I want a LS6.
message 2 as stated, with info asked we can quote the proper intake,we have all of them, some better than others, and with inj, and f. rails or????
my reply to message 2
maybe i didnt understand your question since all C5s have the same size engine. There are different heads and cams but all are the same size. I then posted the GM parts numbers of what I am looking for.
i then got message 3 (directly copied, CAPS are his)
WE HAVE A BETTER MOUSE TRAP!! YOU DONT FIND OUT IF YOU DONT CALL.WE HAVE SEVERAL OPTIONS AND YOU HAVE YET TO ANSWER THE FIRST QUESTION. SPEND YOU MONEY HOWEVER YOU LIKE, THEN WHEN YOU WANT TO GO FASTER ,YOU CAN BUY ANOTHER INTAKE. 40 YEARS OF HEAD FLOW ENGINEERING HAS TAUGHT ME THAT YOU CANT TELL AN ARMCHAIR QUARTERBACK ANYTHING!!!???
HAVE A GREAT ONE, WASTE SOMEONE ELSES TIME IF ANYONE WILL OFFER YOU ANY HELP!!!
my reply to message 3
Dude,
your first question made it look like you dont know anything about corvettes. You asked me what size is my engine. Anyone that knows anything about corvettes knows that from 97-04 the corvette had a 5.7 liter engine in it. There was no option for anything else. You either got a 5.7l LS1 engine or a 5.7l with the LS6 engine.
So what is your better mousetrap? There are multiple intakes out there like the BBK, the FAST, etc but that is not what I asked for. I asked for a LS6 intake. There is only 1. At this point, I do not believe you know what a LS6 intake actually is.
I just need to know, am I in the wrong with my replies? Did I miss something, the guy that I was talking to has 200ish posts and they are all about selling and buying parts so you would think he would know what size a C5 LS engine is. Then he gets mad at me for trying to spell out exactly what I wanted in clear concise terms.
Don't know if you still need an intake, but if you do, I have an extra one I would sell you for what I paid: $300 plus shipping. Let me know. Thanks, RH Willetts rwill10590@verizon.net

Not sure if you were messing around, but the LS1/LS6 = 346ci. (not 350ci)
I saw a guy on here years ago that had custom badges made for his car and it said LS1 with a little 350ci under it... Some one needed to do his homework before spending money on custom stuff like that.
