Can you polish titanium exhaust tips to a high gloss look? Or should I look to weld on new tips? Any pictures would help. I did a search but didn't come up with anything definitive. Thanks...
1st one can't just have a muffler shop weld on new tips to Titanium - I have endlessly tried and it just can't be done - it takes a special TI welder and material to do - I do have some ideas but have not pursued them
Now as far as polishing them - YES! you can!
I use Simple Green to wash them of real good then take Blue Magic Metal Polish and rub them until all the gunk comes off then take a clean Micro Fiber towel and polish them out like if I were doinf a pair of shoes
The result is great - you can also get one of those Power Ball Kits from Pep Boys and use that too!

and you can take steel wool to the Ti mufflers and they look great.
use semichrome polish to polish them. you can find it at most motorcycle shops. they can look like complete garbage, and come out looking like new with this stuff.
