Default Drag Radial Diameter Question.

OK guys what is the tallest or shortest tire that will be effective on the drag strip? I am looking at getting some Mickey Thompsons but I'm not sure on what size. Car is 390whp and has stock 3.42 gears.

Options I'm entertaining.

305/45 18 29in tall, Most Sidewall available in an 18, as far as I see. Should hook good.

305/35 18 26.39in tall, Would probably help reduce bog

I will be running stock 18X10.5 speedlines at the track and I could not do a smaller diameter wheel even if I wanted to due to my brakes.

Go with the 305/35/18 tires. I have a feeling the 305/45's might be too tall and may rub the fender

i run a m&h 275/45/18 which is just under 28". it fits good but i dont think you could fit a bigger tire than that under the car.

305/35-18 will work great for your power level! I run nitto 305/40-18 (27.6) with a little more power and 4.10 gears
