For once I'm glad I didnt read the instructions and trashed the speedomoter face. I don't think I would have ever thought to try it the way I set it up.
I was kind of on the fence about the white face gauges. During the day I really like the look but I was afraid they would be a bit to bright at night but without the two big white gauge faces I don't have that issue at all and it gives each of the gauges in the cluster more seperation and depth. I wish you guys could see it IRL. Pictures dont really do it justice.
No power supply or anything like that. Really nice setup. straight up overlay. Slips right over the needles. The black lights on each side of the gauge cluster light up the white gauge faces at night. Super easy to install once you get to the gauge cluster. Just be sure to read the instruction, like I DIDNT do.
I was actually going to go with one of the ebay white gauge faces with aftermarket lighting but Neil from Corvette Mods searched around until he found the Genuine GM product with the vette logo (not the ones with the hole cut out). I jumped all over it when he called and told me he found them.
While your in there put in some of the Aluminum gauge bezels. Icing on the cake imo
I did the same mod last week I cheeped out and got the ones with the hole for the logo and no more metric Love the cool blue look at night too.
Glad you saw the light, Wheelskins are for boyscouts!
Other mods are very tastefull! Remember, 'less is more'!
Ya thanks again JETZ. You were right on the money with the wheelskin. I was on the fence with using it to begin with. West Cosat Corvette prices pretty much took care of my indecision. the 10-15% off helped a lot too.
