I painted mine with a rattle can. You have to clean and prep the calipers and mask everyting off really well.
I want to brush it on, I takes a lot of time to mask everything or take the rotors off, I have a bunch of stuff to do to my car and don't have the time. I can pop the tire off and brush it on, would save on time. I'm going to look for Duplicolor as a brush application. Thanks for the tips!

What do you do about or how do you keep the Corvette lettering a different color? It looks like it would be a job to hand paint and make look good??

easy to remove with a light sandpaper as the letters sit higher.Originally Posted by jbower

as for the rotors I just had mine powdercoated..$100 for all 4
I bought some VHT Caliper paint today, I'm going to paint them this weekend. I got a rattle can so I will be pulling the rotors!

God, me too. I'm getting scared reading it.Originally Posted by DeeGee
I hope everyone's talking about calipers not rotors
Although I have to admit, I painted the "hats" with high-temp clear to keep them from getting rusty.

I wanted to brush it on, but I could not find Duplicolor in a quart can, So if I want them done by Sunday, Auto Zone had the VHT rattle can in stock, so I guess I have to use this method. By the way, I want to paint the hats of the rotors, and the outside vents, not the rotors surfaceOriginally Posted by socalman

I think I got the same silver VHT paint you used, Did you paint the vents on the outside edge as well, or just the hats! I hope mine turn out looking like yours, my hats are looking pretty fugly and make my wheels look bad. Thanks for the pics!Originally Posted by jrose7004
I painted my OEM C5 Rotors, I used VHT paint from AutoZone.
