Default Hello Everyone

I just joined this forum so i wanted to introduce myself
My name is Cameron and i have been a Vette fan my whole life.
I'm 18 (i know i'm young) live in Houston, TX I currently drive a Jetta 1.8T Modded.
While attending college i came across a really good job opportunity to make quite a bit of money in sales.
So i plan to do that for a year or so get some really good experience and money and hopefully sell my jetta for around 9k and save up around 11k and buy a z06 and save the rest of the money i get then go back to school.

So I'll be looking around this fourm just as a motivator to work my *** off and acheive this goal i have set.

If yall have any advice on how to pick my zo6 what to look out for the best mods etc please feel free to let me know

Welcome!

Be sure to check out the "Sticky" threads at the top of each forum page. This Z06 FAQ is particularly helpful.

Also, since you're in Houston you should stop by EnglandGreen some time. They're one of the most well-known and trusted Vette shops in the country.

Welcome to the forum..my advice to you is not to jump at the first Z06 you see. The best thing to do is shop around before you buy! The reason why i say that is because alot of dealers like to sell vettes for more than what there worth. I'll give you a example i bought my Z06 in march of 2010 for 24,999 with 18,000 miles on it. The same year Z06 was for sale at a different dealer with 22,000 miles on it for 28,999. I told the 2nd dealer he was out of his mind for selling it for 28,999 and of course he said that's what the Z06 is worth...BULL$HIT! Do your homework before you buy..good luck in your search!

I bought my zo6 before my 22nd birthday for 17k with 55k miles on the clock. My suggestion to you would be to test drive all the cars that you can! I did it for 6 months and had a blast! All corvettes, from stock to fully built 383 strokers! Texas direct auto off 59 will pull the car around and give you the keys and tell you to have a good time!

I drove a VW GTI VR6 all through high school up until last year and last September purchased a 2001 Z06 (I'm 19 years old). Also currently attending the University of Minnesota and just made my last tuition payment for this year which means I am half way through with no debt . Work hard and it is doable. One word of caution, be VERY realistic about what your jetta will sell for. I overestimated the sale price of my GTI and it hurt. But of course, work hard, get what you want, and have FUN!
