Default C5 underhood logo decals

Where can I buy a C5 logo decal (or whatever) for under the hood?

Try ebay, there are many at different pricing. I'm sure all the regular Covette accessory vendors carry them.

Just finish painting my last night. I put it in the car today. Just take your time and it will come out great.

I tried that.

I know lots of you guys did a great job with it. Mine looked like it was painted by hand.

I never could get the damn paint to quit soaking in. It always looked like it needed another coat.

You are supposed to prime it with flat black first. Paint won't soak in then.

Yes it will. Sucked up the primer too....all five coats. It's the monster that eats paint.

Did mine by hand as well. It came out kinda ghetto looking.

I wasn't too worried since I'm springing for a new underhood cover pretty soon and then taking it in for some custom airbrushing.

I painted mine with flat black paint first. I've heard rumors of it soaking up paint all day long, so I did 8 coats of flat black. I then used painters pens from Michaels Craft Store. I took my time, and it looks great. I get a lot of compliments on it. There is a big difference between it being painted and a sticker. I had a sticker that fell off several times, so thats why I painted it. Paint looks better anyways. Good luck.

I got one off of ebay. Just go by the directions that it comes with and you will have no problem.

I painted my last hood liner and it looked great, bought a new liner just because I could, thought the decal would look better. Yes it looked great unfortunely, it looked great resting on my intake manifold.

This method sounds interesting. Could you please post some good pictures of the hood liner and a close up or two of your work?
Thanks.
