Default ZR Body Kit

I am looking into purchasing a ZR body kit for my 98 C5. I'm thinking about getting just the hood and front bumper, but I am wondering how well the fitment will be. I have run into alignment problems before with buying aftermarket body panels and I am curious if anyone else has the ZR body kit and would be able to verify if it fits smoothly. The link posted below is to the page I found the kit on..

Definitely talk to the vendor. Someone else on the forum had an issue with the hood and the vendor mentioned some retailers have "old versions" (or something like that) that doesn't fit very well.

You like that look over the look of the tigershark front fender? To each their own and definitely get what you like, but I feel mixing the sharp lines of that ZR kit and the roundness of the rest of your car would result in something that doesn't make much sense.

It's like having a half boxy 80's car mixed with the rounded bubble look of the mid 90's cars.

Dude before you buy that, The member here who made ALL of that happen. buy from him, and Im sure he'll hook you up. Quik Z06 He's a part of Corvette Creationz and did all that. Hopefully you like that look, IMO the fron bumper has too many sharp lines, whereas the C5 flow smooth. Does look pretty sick though haha.

Good luck!!

I know, I heard about the ZR2 hood you were referring too. Im waiting on the "new versions" myself. If I had the money though, Id just buy the VIS hood but its waaay too much.

Modding is good, but making a C3 look like a C5, a C5 look like a C6 etc. is odd to me, I'd rather buy that 'other' generation!

Someday, you might want to sell the 'Frankenvette', only to end having to keep it. When someone mods a car/boat/house etc. so dramatically to change it completly to something else, it appeals to fewer people.

...but hey, it's your car!

like others said dont buy the parts from ebay. quikz06 (pete) told me that those guys on ebay are selling old poor fitting versions. its best to just buy from him. itll probably be cheaper that way too and you wont have issues. its cool looking stuff too.

I would like to see pics of the actual installation on some C5's

I have seen this on some C5's but it not my favorite look for them.

Thanks,Matt
